December 2006

I have had this "work in progress" going for the last 6 plus months. Yep, I started it, put it in the cabinet and looked at it every time I went to get another piece of paper. Did I touch it? Oh sure, get something that was hiding behind it. Did I ever stop & think maybe I ought to finish that project? Nope, not once. At least not until today. For some reason, cleaning up my stamp area last night (more like purging it) inspired me to do something with this "work in progress." I have to say, I am pretty tickled about it. I think my sister, Pancho, just might get a little jealous. LOLOLOL

Here it is... my finished "work in progress!!" I love all things Western and this? Well, this is my finished "Western" card tin. I am so jazzed!

Here is a top view...

And a side view...

Now that I have finished this one, you know I am going to have to make another one... Ü

So many Pirates...

so little time.... LOL

Yep, I am at it again. Made another Pirate sample with my Cat's Pajamas stamps. This card is totally different than my previous post.

Stamp sets: Cat's Pajamas

Cardstock: Ruby Red, Cool Caribbean, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White

Ink: Bordering Blue, Basic Brown, Cool Caribbean, Barely Banana, Creamy Carmel, Pretty in Pink

Misc: Gold & Sakura Glitter Gel Pens, also used a glaze pen for the sails

Do you think I need to stamp another image of the boat and pop it off the card? Hmmmm....let me know what you think by posting a comment below.

Thanks! Ü

Shiver Me Timbers...

It Be Yer Birthday!!  Pirate

So, what in the world could I be talking about now? WELLLLLLLLLLL, let me just tell you! LOL My girlfriends little boy is turning one on January 21 and she is having a pirate party for him. So me, being the kind person I am (I heard that! Quit laughing!!) offered to come up with some party invite samples. I have these super cute Pirate stamps from the Cat's Pajamas and then that way cool wheel from SU! .... I should be able to come up with something right? RIGHT! So here is my first try:

I took my basic layout from Debbie Olson's card CLICK HERE. I know, her card is wayyyyy cuter, but we all can't be Debbie Olson!! hahaha We can only aspire to ya Debbie!! Ü

Now that I am taking a closer look at my card I think I need to change the color of the stripes on his shirt cause he blends into the red background too much. I will have to do that tomorrow.

Here are the details:

Stamp sets: Cat's Pajamas, Matey's Map Jumbo Wheel and Cheesecloth BG

Cardstock: Naturals, Ruby Red

Inks: Basic Brown, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Cool Caribbean, Ruby Red, Blush Blossom, Bordering Blue, Creamy Carmel

Misc: Copper Brads, Copper Rimmed Metal Circle Tag (Vellum), White Gel Pen & Sakura Glitter Glaze Pen

I couldn't go to sleep until I fixed this card!! LOL I changed the color of his shirt to Cool Caribbean and added a little faux bling to the middle of the compass, what do you think? Better????

Okay, off to bed, see ya tomorrow! Night Peeps!!

Sweet Little Birdie...

So I bought some TAC stamps from Betti Geis and oh my... they are soooooooo stinkin' cute!!! Check it out:

Stamp set: Deco Designs by TAC

Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red & Very Vanilla

Inks: Basic Brown, Ruby Red, Old Olive, Not Quite Navy & Chocolate Chip

Misc: Giga Scalloped Oval Punch, Ribbon, Linen Thread & Sakura Glitter Pen

What do you think? Too cute, huh? YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!! I love it! I will definitely be playing with this set again soon!! Ü

Did you stamp anything today?

I did! I did!!  Raise The Roof

I have been thinking about this card ALL DAY!! I am actually pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Stamps: Petal Prints

Cardstock: Naturals, Ruby Red, Basic Grey & Whisper White

Ink: Lime Pastel Colorbox Chalk, Ruby Red, Craft White & Apricot Appeal

Misc: Grosgrain Ribbon (snagged it off one of the Christmas presents I received this year Ü), Cuttlebug Embossing Plate & distressing tool

So how many of these Cuttlebug Embossing Plates do you own?? If you don't have any, I am telling you, they are a MUST HAVE!! I can't get enough of them!! I absolutely Beating Heart {LOVE} them!

Until tomorrow.... Ü

Just a tiny bit of stamping today...

In between watching the Dallas Cowboys get their butts kicked by the Eagles (WHAN!) I was able to get a card stamped. Yes, only one card, but a card none the less.  Teethy

Stamp sets: Big Pieces, Cute Converse & Seeing Spots

Cardstock: Real Red, Cool Caribbean & Whisper White

Ink: White Staz On, Real Red & Cool Caribbean

Misc: Acetate, Silver Brads, White Grosgrain, Giga Circle Scalloped Punch, 1/16 inch circle punch, Horizontal Slot Punch & Quickutz

The card is just okay. I was really distracted by that darn football game. Tony Romo better stop thinking about those girls and get his head back in the game. Much like I need to do when it comes to stamping!! Ü

What are you doing up so late?

You really should be in bed, you don't want to get caught by Santa, do you? heeheeChristmas Tree

And even though I have been a little Bah Humbug this year... I hope you all have a VERY Merry Christmas and an even BETTER New Years!

Love, Robert, Karrie, Callie, H.J., Buddy, Molly & Bailey

Oh my goodness, what's that? Is that Santa and his reindeer?

Above is Molly our little Rudolph...  3D Rudolph

This is our old man Buddy aka Santa...  3D Santa

And last, but certainly not least is Bailey, our very own little Vixen!! hahaha

Is it Friday yet?

I know it's only Tuesday but MAN! I WISH IT WAS FRIDAY!! I am so looking forward to my three day weekend. No big Christmas plans here cause it's just me and my hubby so I think we will take in a movie, relax a little, play with the girls, you know the drill. LOL Anywho, here is another card I pulled out of my stash to share, hope you enjoy it! Ü

Stamp sets: Little Hellos, Print Pattern BG

Cardstock: Barely Banana, Close to Cocoa, Bliss Blue & Whisper White

Ink: Barley Banana, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa & Bliss Blue

No stamping for me tonight...

But that doesn't mean that I am not going to post a couple of cards. I went through my stash and pulled a couple out for your viewing pleasure. Farm Fever by SU! is one of my favorite sets. I love everything about that set except for the bee. LOL

Anyway, here are a couple of diddies I made earlier this year:

Stamps: Farm Fever, Crosshatch BG

Paper: Real Red, Bordering Blue, Barely Banana & Kraft

Ink: Bordering Blue, Brocade Blue, Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip & Creamy Caramel

Misc: Black Gingham Ribbon

Here is the second one:

This is one of my all time fave cards!!

Stamp sets: Farm Fever, Print Pattern BG

Paper: Blush Blossom, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Black & Black Craft Pad

Misc: Bleach, Black Embossing Powder, Faux Bling & Black gingham

So hey, I meant to ask, do you guys want to see the recipe or just the cards? I can post either way, it doesn't matter to me. I just noticed that tons of people were giving out all the info on their blogs and figured I would do the same. Let me know your thoughts on this, I would love to hear from you!! Ü
