February 2008

Isn't she just the cutest little thing?

Where does Anna come up with these ideas? I mean, hello CUTENESS! LOL

I was messing around tonight with my new Copics (yes, I took the plunge and am now swimming in all the Copic goodness) and decided to play with my new Anna stamps "BoPeep's Sheep." Yes, they just arrived here today. See, all new, all good. I guess you could say it was a little "you've been a good girl, working so hard and all that you need a little reward" kinda day. LOL

So this is what I came up with...

I know, I know, super simple but remember my motto this week? 10 minute cards! I need to make things FAST around here because I need to get my butt to bed early. Anywho, the whole getting to bed early thing didn't work out tonight because I am addicted to that new show "Dexter" and stayed up watching the last two episodes that I had saved on my Tivo. This, of course, was after I watched Survivor. I am definitely going to be paying for it tomorrow! Oopsie poopsie! LOL

So here are the deets Peeps:

Stamps: Doodle This by SU! and BoPeep's Sheeps from Whipper Snapper Designs

Cardstock: Cool Caribbean & Shimmery Ivory

Inks: Brillance Graphite Black & Copic Markers

Misc: Brad, Ribbon & Scallop Punch

Okay, I am off like a prom dress, see you guys tomorrow or sometime this weekend! Hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!! :)

Baker out.

What is it about Yellow Submarines...

that just make you want to break out in song? Specifically this song...

In the town where I was born,
Lived a man who sailed to sea,
And he told us of his life,
In the land of submarines,

So we sailed on to the sun,
Till we found a sea of green,
And we lived beneath the waves,
In our yellow submarine,

We all live in a yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live in a yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine.

And our friends are all aboard,
Many more of them live next door,
And the band begins to play.

(Trumpets play)

We all live in a yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live a yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine.

(Full speed ahead, Mr. Parker, full speed ahead!
Full speed over here, sir!
Action station! Action station!
Aye, aye, sir, fire!
Heaven! Heaven!)

As we live a life of ease
Every one of us, has all we need,
Sky of blue and sea of green,
in our yellow submarine.

We all live in a yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live in a yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine.

We all live in a yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live in a yellow submarine,
yellow submarine, yellow submarine

I just want to make sure you know all the words in case it gets stuck in your head tonight. LOL

And while you are singing, you can in vision my card that I made last night... :)

HOW CUTE IS THAT??? I think this may be in my Top 10!!! Crikey, I LOVE these stamps! Need more of these stamps! And DEFINITELY more of this fish bowl card! How perfect is that? LOVE IT!!!

So here are the deets Peeps...

Alright, well Peeps, I am POOPED!! I think I am going to hit the sack. I hope you all have a FANTASTIC evening.

Just a couple of things before I go...

Sharon... I hope you were able to unwind your legs and you really need to DEMAND overtime (at least some new stamps) for all your hard work! :)

Tanis, yes, I am really serious about the 10 minute cards this week...starting tomorrow of course. LOL

Toni, yesterdays card was made using Tropical Breeze Bazill Smoothie carstock... LOVE IT! You will too! :)

Dana, I miss you too! xo

Linda, hope your first day at work was a good one! I am thinking of you girl! :)

Okie dokie, I am off like a prom dress! Toodles Peeps! :)

A little Sunday stamping does the body good!

I worked my tail off this week and it doesn't look like next week is going to be any different. I even had to cancel stamping with Dana today just so I could spend a little time with my hubby. Good thing he felt like sitting in the stamp room with me. :)

Wanna know what I was working on? Welllllll, I received my die cut cards from Terry over at Creative Cuts & More. Can I just say... what took me so long? They were too much FUN!!! And reasonable? Oh my goodness, definitely affordable! Besides, the more you spend, the cheaper it gets!!! Hello! Who needs more incentive than that? LOLOL

So check it out...

How fun is that? I LOVE window cards, especially when someone else is cutting out the windows! :)

Here are the deets Peeps:

Stamps: Little Lady by Papertrey Ink

Cardstock: A7 (5x7) Rectangle Window Card in Tropical Breeze from Creative Cuts and More plus a little white cardstock & acetate

Inks: Real Red & Black Staz-On

Misc: Prima Flowers and Making Memories Faux Bling Brad

What do you think? Do you like it? Do you love it? Do you want some more of it? LOLOL I don't know if you can tell or not but I stuck some acetate behind the window so that I could perch the ladybug on top of it and then stamped the little trail of dots and the saying on the acetate. It looks way cooler in real life. I am very pleased with how it turned out. YEAH!

Alright, I am to finish working on my other card. WAIT TIL YOU SEE THAT ONE!!! WOOHOO!!!

I am hoping to make more time for stamping this week but won't promise that. If I do, I am going to do my best to make simple cards that take 10 minutes or else. What about you? Think you are up for a challenge? C'mon, please say YESSSSSS! Alrighty then Peeps, I am outta here. Have a GREAT one!

Baker out.

Less than 10 minutes...

some scrap paper, a couple Just Johanna stamps, a circle punch, Timberbrown Staz-On, More Mustard Marker, pair of scissors, corner rounder, stapler and a girl that just wants to stamp; gets you this...

It doesn't get much easier than this Peeps! Hope you like it!

I am off like a prom dress, hopefully I will see you tomorrow! Toodles! :)

Two posts in two days?

AMAZING!! That is all I have to say! LOL

So did I share my SUPER EXCITING news with you yet? No? Well, why the heck not? Crikey, what is wrong with me??? LOL

Oh that's right... cause I am dog tired right now! :)

Never fear though, I did stamp tonight. Just an itty bitty tiny little bit, but I DID ink up a stamp, slapped it on some paper and whipped up a little somethin' somethin'. What was that? Oh right, my EXCITING news!! :)

I have accepted a postion on the Creative Cuts and More Design Team!! YEAH!!! I sooooo EXCITED about this new opportunity! Did you know that Toni & Linda are also on the same team with me??? SO EXCITING!!! We are going to have a BLAST!!

So Terry, the owner of CC&M, sent me this wonderful box of paper samples and a couple of dies. Well, I could hardly contain myself, I put the die cut boxes together without thinking twice. Uhhhhh DUH!!! Note to self, if you plan on stamping on the boxes, do the stamping FIRST and then put them together! OOPSIE POOPSIE!! LOL

Don't worry, I still salvaged the box! :)

Check it out...

It is super simple but I still like it. I ran some ribbon over the top of the lid and also around the bottom of the box, see below...

How cool is that? Here is another detail shot...

So there you have it. My super simple, super cute little box. Terry's dies are sooooo EASY to use and they come in a TON of colors! I can't wait to get started! :)

Alright, well, I better get going. My bed is calling me...I have another EARLY day ahead of me. I hope you all have a FABULOUS Wednesday! See ya later Peeps! :)

ATC Swap...check, check

Yep, finished my ATC's last night at 12:36am. WOOHOO!!!! I am such a night owl on the weekends! Sometimes, I will go to bed and my husband will be getting up (he is an EARLY riser). It is quite comical if you ask me.  :)

Oh my goodness, today is going to be a beautiful day!! Get is going to be 79 degrees here today!!! HOW NICE IS THAT??? Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful dayyyyyyyy!! Yes, it really makes me want to break out in song! LOL In fact, right now, I have all the doors open and there is a nice, FRESH breeze coming in. BEAUTIFULLLLLLLL! Just BEAUTIFUL!'s going to be a good day!

And look what I picked off my rose bush this morning...

It doesn't get prettier than that folks! :)

So, you ready to see me ATC swaps? Now, if you are in my groups and don't want to spoil the surprise, then you better turn away now cause I am throwing these babies out there for everyone to see... LOL

Alright, first up is my a-muse ATC swap for Group #1 on Tracy's BLOG:

I was going to use my new a-muse stamps but then starting digging around in my drawer and realized I had never inked up the tire swing & this saying. Don't you think it is perfect since spring is just around the corner? LOVE IT!

Okie, dokie, next up is my Memory Box swap for Group #2:

For this one I had planned on using my new Memory Box images (yes, I had something running through my head that had to do with a polar bear riding a bike and such but decided against it and went with my Pirate Penguin). What can I say? He wanted to play and I couldn't say "NO" to him. I mean really, could you? LOL

So there you have it Peeps. I have to make a special Cat's Pajamas ATC for Tami W and then these babies are getting packaged up and sent out. I hope, if you are in my group, you aren't disappointed. It has been awhile since I made an ATC and to be quite honest, I don't participate in swaps that often. In fact, hardly ever. Don't you feel special now? LOLOLOLOLOL

Alrighty then, I am off like a prom dress (well, not really, but wouldn't that be a sight! LOL)... have a FABULOUS Sunday!!

Baker out.
