Happy Belated Birthday Mom!!!

No, I was not late in wishing my Mom a Happy Birthday but her card AND her present are going to be late. That is just how I roll. My family knows it and expects it.
They still love me, THANK GOODNESS!!

How about those la-la-lucious colors? Yummy! And Billy the ballon guy? SO FUN!!! If I was the girl, I would be smitten! But wait a second, it wouldn't be party without a party banner, right? RIGHT! (pssst...that is one of my FAVE stamps from OBP...just thought you would like to know that)

Anywho, I need to be on my way...my dirty house is calling, laundry is screaming to be washed, family needs to be entertained and there are errands that need to be run. Hope you all have a FANTASTIC day today!

Chihuly Exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden

In my last post I mentioned how we checked out the Chihuly Exhibit at DBG in the afternoon, here are some of the highlights from the day (be prepared, this is a LONG post)...

I complain about the heat & the scorpians here in AZ all the time but the cacti & succulents here are AMAZING...

Do you see the clouds in the second card? I made these using a home made cloud stencil. I lost my store bought one so I had to make my own. I have to say, I like it a lot better than the store bought one! LOL

Sweet baby Bailey...

She is our youngest girl. She is sweeter than sweet can be BUT she is needy. VERY needy. As in, she needs us to give her ALL of our attention. She doesn't care that we have two other dogs. As far as she is concerned they really don't exist. LOL

Aside from wanting all of our attention, there is one thing that she absolutely LOVES to do. Play ball.

TCP Tuesday! - Sketch Challenge

Yeah for Tuesdays!! Did you think I would miss out on this weeks sketch challenge? NO WAY!!! Carole is filling in for Leigh this week cause she (Leigh) was feelin' a little under the weather (guess this bug is making the rounds, eh?). Anywho, Carole rocked the sketch first time out the gate, check it out:

And, uh, did you notice that this is one of the stamps from the NEW Cat's Pajamas set, "Beans, Bunnies & Peeps...OH MY!!" that is coming out this FRIDAY??? How friggin' cute is that? I know, I totally know what you mean...UBER CUTE!

Anywho, here are the deets for the challenge this week:

1. Each a week one of the The Cat’s Pajamas DT Members will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, color, theme/inspiration, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until {this} Saturday night to complete the challenge.
4. Link your project on this week’s hostess’ challenge announcement. This week you will link your project on Carole's BLOG. 
5. TCP stamps are not required, but of course, highly encouraged. {Unless it is a challenge calling for a specific stamp}
6. There will be one winner each month. They will be deemed that month’s Swankiest Stamper and get $25 in Cat’s Cash {money to spend on the TCP site!}.

Happy Monday!!

Today is my first day of vacation with my family, YEAH!!! I am soooo EXCITED to be at home, away from work right now. And to have my family here on top of it? Makes me TWICE as excited!!

I just wish my Sis wasn't feeling so poopy. She's been feeling a little under the weather since she arrived so we are trying to keep it low key in order for her to re-coup. It's probably driving her crazy not running around doing stuff but I think it is for the best. I may have to force her to take a nap today...LOL

On the agenda today...if she feels up to it...The Desert Botanical Gardens, laundry and relaxing. And me? Well, I am hoping to get some stamping squeezed in. I finally got all of my unmounted rubber from the Odd Bird Planet Chinese New Year sale mounted (I am embarrassed to say how much I purchased...) on thin ez-mount and have filed it away in my binder. I am pretty to close to starting a second binder. YIKES!!! How did that happen? LOL Perhaps I should start practicing self-control? Nah. What fun would that be?

Oh my, look at me, I am just rambling on and on and on... LOL Maybe you would like to see a card or something? Crikey, let me get that for you....

I am really loving KRAFT paper right now. I keep wanting to incorporate it into my cards somehow. Why is this? Why do we go through these strange phases? It baffles me. What about you? Are you going through a phase right now with your card making? If so, tell me about it. I want to know what it is. Do share! LOL

Alright, I am off to jump in the shower and then start a load of laundry. Shoot, scratch that...since my house is full of sleeping peeps right now I may just grab a cup of coffee and go sit outside and enjoy the quiet. Ahhhh...if only my Sis were awake to enjoy it with me...

This card is tiny, little bigger than ATC size but yet...it says it all. And the colors? Eye pleasing if I do say so myself. heehee

OH! Before I go, did I tell you that my Sis and her kids are in town for the next couple of weeks? So excited about that! Fun times are sure to be had by all. heehee

Although, the kids may think differently because we just informed them this morning that they all have chores to do while they are here. I explained that there would be a financial bonus at the end of their stay but they still didn't look thrilled. I don't know why....LOL
