Shiver me timbers, it be a TCP Blog Hop!

Hop_23

And tell me, why would I NOT participate in something as fun as this??? Seriously people, you should know me better than that! LOL

I noticed that everyone was pulling out all the new sets for the Blog Hop so I decided for a little retro TCP for my card. Why go with the flow, right? RIGHT!

So here is my little diddy...

Tcpshivermetimbers

I used some of my FAVE Cat's Pajamas stamps to make this card, please see my deets below...

CARD DEETS:

  • stamps: Arrrgh! Piratey! from The Cat's Pajamas
  • paper: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, White
  • inks: Black Versafine, Copic Markers & Baja Breeze Marker
  • misc: Ribbon, TCP Button & Wave Cut Up, Sewing Machine & Twine

So... did you participate in the TCP Blog Hop? If not, you better hurry, you are running out of time. It ends at 12am EST/9pm PST on August 24th. Go on now, quit putting it off and get your card made PRONTO!! Can't wait to see what you made!

Alrighty then. I am off like a prom dress. I have more cards to make.

Thanks for stopping by!

What I have been up to lately...

This is what I have been up to:

Quilt1

I have been working on my FIRST EVER QUILT! Can you believe it? I have been a sewing fool. Between this and my job I have been outside of my friggin' mind! But alas, it will be worth it in the end.

So... what you are looking at above is the top panel. I elected not to do the actual "quilting" part myself since I wanted a pattern on it rather than a straight or diagonal quilt pattern. The backside is going to be a super soft chocolate brown, something called, Minky. When I get the quilt back on Monday I will add the edging to cover up the unfinished edges. I can't wait.

On another note, I did get some fun stuff in the mail this week. I have a TON of new Cat's Pajamas stamps to play with as well as some new Rosie Roadshow stamps. Two of my favorite companies. I think I am in heaven. I just hope I can squeeze some time out this weekend to play with all my new goodies.

Oh geez, hubby is calling. I better get going. Hope you all have a fun weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Thank you Dana for taking the above picture for me!! :)

I guess I need to quit being a slug and get busy. UGH! I didn't realize it was already 10am. Where is the day going? I should have had the house cleaned by now and the laundry started. Oh well. What's a girl to do?

So my plans for this weekend involve...stamping & sewing the front panel of my quilt together. I was hoping to squeeze in a movie but not sure if that is going to happen or not. You never know though, right? I am also hoping to win the lotto but??? LOL

Anywho, I hope to be back on the blog some time later this weekend. Hope you all have a FAB day!!

Baker out.

Oh man, I have lots to do today. Clean house. Make special card for secret assignment. Laundry. Finish cutting the fabric for the quilt class I am taking. Sew all the squares for the quilt. <- this quilt may be the death of me. Will post some pictures soon though.

Then, on top of all this, I really need some time with my hubby. Where does that squeeze in? I think I need a 3 or 4 day weekend. Anyone know how to make that happen? Or could someone send me an assistant?? LOL

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!!

It's Sunday and I am bored. Bored with doing laundry.

I want/feel like stamping but at the same time I can't think of anything to stamp. Have you ever had that problem? So weird.

I am tired of watching TV, then again, there is nothing good on. I could read my book but then it seems like that is all I do anymore. Perhaps I should just take a nap? Maybe I will wake up feeling refreshed/renewed? Hmmm.

I just looked over at my stamp desk. Goodness, what a mess. I have a stack of new sets from TCP waiting to be played with. So tempting. Sigh...what to do...

Suggestions? Anyone? :)
