November 2011

Improved look...

Well, I gave my Starbucks Christmas tree a little face lift. Check it out:

So what do you think? Do you like the tinsel garland & the little star? I definitely think it looks better, don't you?

I really wish you could see it in person. So cute. So, so, CUTE!! LOL

Alright, I better get busy. See y'all later!

Thanks for stopping by!

May Peace be your gift at Christmas

Isn't that the best saying? I love it. It's from The Cat's Pajamas. Yep. Love TCP too! This is the card I made using that saying...

It's a different kind of card for me but hey, I like it. Do you?

Card deets:

Kinda cute for being out of my comfort zone, eh? LOL

Hope you enjoyed it! See y'all later and hey...

Hello Precious!!

Here's another card I made with my little gnomes from Poppystamps. I made this one into a belated birthday card for my neice Skylar. Do you see a theme here with the whole "belated" thing?? LOL

Isn't she the sweetest thing? I am in love!!

Alrighty then, I am off like a prom dress. Have a SUPER day today!!

Gobble, Gobble!!

I don't know what possessed me to make this card yesterday but I felt like I HAD to make a Thanksgiving card before the month was over. Perhaps I thought I could get a head start on next year????

Pancho, did you see the turkey? I used those little canvas sticky sheets I bought at Michael's to make him. HOW COOL IS THAT??? I thought the Copic makers would bleed on the canvas but they didn't. I could have danced a little jig over that, but now that I am "40" and have no rhythm, I just squealed like a little girl. Sad, but true. LOL

Card deets:

  • Stamps: Rosie's Roadshow
  • Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler (notice a food theme here?), Really Rust & Canvas Trading Trading Cards
  • Inks: Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers & Dusty Durango
  • Misc: Button, Twine, Ribbon & Punches

I think that's a wrap for now. I am headed to the movies this morning with my girl tribe to see TWILIGHT: Breaking Dawn Part 1. (So friggin' excited!!) Then, after the movie, we are headed to the barrio for some authentic Mexican food. YUMMMM-O!!!

Have a FAB-O day today!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Only a couple more days left in November...

and then the fun REALLY starts, huh? LOL

Have you all started your Christmas shopping? I have. In fact, I just have a few more presents to get and then I am officially DONE. Well, except for Christmas shopping for MYSELF. LOL

Did I tell you? While my Sis was here we did some crafting, stamping, shopping, chatting, movie watching, toe tapping to some great music and a little coffee drinking. Not as much coffee drinking as we would have liked but enough to get us by.

This was one of our finer moments...

We made those fabulous mustahes out of fimo clay. Fun, huh? Here is a look at some of the other ones:

I am sure these little funnies will provide us with hours of entertainment in the years to come!

I did mention that we did some stamping, right? As you know, I have a reputation for being LATE for EVERYTHING! And missing birthdays is not unusual for me. Here is a belated birthday card that I made for my niece, Makayla...

Even though this picture doesn't show it, I actually went in afterwards and added glitter to the balloons. It turned out super cute & super sparkly. LOVE THAT!!

Card deets:

  • Stamps: Poppystamps
  • Paper: Memory Box, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose & Cryogen White
  • Inks: Tuxedo Black & Copics
  • Misc: My Favorite Things cloud die(s) which I cut in half to match the clouds on the paper

There you have it my friends, hope you enjoyed my silly pic & my card. Enjoy your Saturday and hey...

The simplest of thank you cards...

Sometimes simple really is best. Like this card:

It doesn't get much easier than that, does it? And the end result? So pretty...

Card deets:

  • Stamps: a-muse
  • Paper: K & Company DP & White
  • Inks: Almost Amethyst
  • Misc: Ribbon, felt leaf, button & linen thread

Hope you enjoyed my card today.

Thanks for stopping by!!

TCPTUES185 Challenge

Sorry for being MIA the past couple of days. I have been so caught up with spending time with my Sister that I have totally neglected the ole blog. Boo for the blog, YEAH for my Sister & I!! LOL

So this week over at The Cat's Pajamas there's a little sketch challenge. Tcptues185vs1

I was a little frustrated with the sketch at first, it took me 4 hours just to get the general idea of card down, but I prevailed!! Check it out...

And here is my second version with different colors.

So tell me, which version do you like better? Blue or red?

Card deets:

  • Stamps: All from The Cat's Pajamas
  • Paper: Christmas from American Crafts, Cool Carribean, Real Red, White, Green Galore & Cryogen White
  • Inks: Tuxedo Black & Copics
  • Misc: Icing die from TCP, felt trim, tiny pom pom, sewing machine, ribbon from American Crafts

I think that's it for now. Trina & I are off to do some more running around today. Hope to see you all tomorrow!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Itty Bitty Cabin

Well, it's that time of year again where the weather starts getting cooler and in some places, it actually SNOWS. I actually miss the snow. My husband? Not so much.

I guess my dream of living in a log cabin up in Montana is out of the question unless we purchase a second home up there for the summers. We'd have to win the lottery before that happens so...I won't hold my breath for that. LOL

Anywho, all my dreaming of cabins & snow helped me design this card:

On the inside it says "Have Yourself a Merry Little Chritmas."

I love how small the images are & how big the card is. I was so excited when I got done with it, that I went running out to the living room to show Robert, my husband, and he asked "Is that it? Where's the rest of it?" I started laughing and promptly told him that was not the reaction I was looking for. Men...need I say more?  Gaah

Card deets:

  • Stamps: All from Rosie's Roadshow
  • Paper: Pre-cut card from Creative Cuts & More, White
  • Inks: Tuxedo Black & Copic Markers
  • Misc: Liquid Applique, Glitter

Alright, I better get to work. See you all later.

Thanks for stopping by!!

TCPTUES184 Challenge

This week's TCP challenge was to use any stamp containing food and to use the icing die.

I took that challenge & this is what I came up with:

I have to admit, I'm having fun participating in these challenges! Are you???

Card deets:

  • Stamps: Candyland Christmas from The Cat's Pajamas
  • Paper: DP from K & Company, Regal Rose, Green Galore & White
  • Inks: Tuxedo Black, Copic & Spica Markers
  • Misc: Icing die from TCP, QK eyelet dies

I am off to do a little more stamping and enjoy the rest of my Sunday. Hope you are all doing the same!!

Thanks for stopping by!
