January 2012

Because I can & I want to...

I had to cut a section of my backing off the quilt because it was too big. I couldn't let the discarded piece go to waste. Soooooo... I MADE A TABLE RUNNER!!! (I feel so crafty, I don't know what to do with myself. LOL)

Check it out...

Detail shots...

I love the stitching I used for the binding on this one. I wish I would have thought to use this on the quilt!!

Right now I have the table runner up on my kitchen counter because my dining room table is COVERED in quilting stuff. It is too funny. Perhaps I need a sewing room now?? LOL

OH! Before I forget, I will try to get the quilt pattern on the ole blog this weekend. I have to do a little scanning & such to make it work, so be patient with me. But I will do my best to get it posted THIS WEEKEND.

You will definitely love how easy & fast this quilt comes together!!

Alright, I am off. Have a SUPER night!

Shabby Seam Quilts are in!!

I went to a Quilt class all by my lonesome on Saturday and made this quilt:

Here are some detail shots:

And one more...

HOW CUTE IS THAT??? I absolutely love it. And it was sooooo EASY!!! I am going to be making my second one in the next couple of days. Before you know it, I am going to have a trunk load of quilts. I might even make some for gifts!

Anywho, I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for stopping by!

I just can't quit the cuteness

of this one. How could I deny her anything? You want a vulture Bailey? Mama will get one...hang on...

You want to use your vulture as pillow? Okay Baby, you go right ahead. You need Mama to get you a blanket too? I would, yep, I definitely would. LOL

I can't wait to get home tonight and see my Sweet Baby Bailey. I hope you have a little sweetie to come home to too!!

Penguin Palooza

Yep, the penguins are going crazy over here. They all want to make an appearance on the cards. Perhaps I should feature penguins the rest of the month? there's an idea!! :)

I think this card is soooo much cuter in person. I wish you all could see it. Sigh...

Card deets:

  • Stamps: All from Memory Box
  • Paper: Turqouise, Red, White
  • Ink: Tuxedo Black, White Pen & Copic Markers
  • Misc: Twine, Button, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, QK Die & Sewing Machine

Alright, I need to get going. See you all later!!

And hey, thanks for stopping by!

Scraps from the other day...

It's basically the same card that I made for the TCP Tuesday color challenge with a few minor changes.

The base card is a bit longer and the espresso background runs the width of the card. I moved the focal point to the right and used a different button. In addition, I used one of my own images, Bubba, that I designed for Odd Bird Planet. Isn't he the sweetest? My heart is swooning right now...

Card deets:

  • Stamps: Odd Bird Planet (sorry, they are out of business)
  • Paper: Metropolitan from American Crafts, Espresso, Melon Mambo, Pink & White
  • Inks: Tuxedo Black, Melon Mambo, Pink & one, yes, only one, Copic Marker
  • Misc: SU Scallop Circle Punch, QK Square Dies, Button & Ribbon

Okie, dokie, I am off like a prom dress!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have an ice day...

I was all over the place with stamping yesterday. Birthday cards, random cards, just because cards...there was really no rhyme or reason to anything I was doing. What irks my jaw about that, is that every single card takes 3x longer to make than it should. LOL

Here's a little card I made with some Odd Bird Planet stamps...

Sorry folks, OBP has been out of business for a while now.

Anywho, here are the card deets:

  • Stamps: All from Odd Bird Planet
  • Paper: DP from Martha Stewart, White & Basic Grey
  • Inks: Tuxedo Black & Copic Markers
  • Misc: Tiny brads, Snowflake lace die from The Cat's Pajamas, Stickles & Snow Globe die from Amuse Studios

Hope you all have a FABULOUS Monday!

Thanks for stopping by!

TCPTUES193 Challenge

There's a color challenge this week over at The Cat's Pajamas. I debated whether to play or not but my need for birthday cards won out & I figured I would take on a challenege while I was at it. :)

This weeks colors are:

Here is my card for the challenege:

I love all the new stamps that TCP has come out with but I decided to go digging for an old Sprinkle image. Poor thing, she doesn't get played with as often as she would like. I think I need get her a little cat nip and a new fluffy bed. LOL

Card deets:

  • Stamps: All from The Cat's Pajamas
  • Paper: Metropolitan from American Crafts, Espresso, Melon Mambo, Pink & White
  • Inks:  Melon Mambo, Pink, Espresso, Certainly Celery & Sakura Glitter Pen
  • Misc: SU Scallop Circle Punch, Button & Ribbon

Alright, I am off to do some more stamping. Just need to get a little snack first. LOL

Hope you are all having a great weekend!
