Cock a doodle doooooooooo

I love this Chicken strummin' his guitar. Leave it to Anna Wight to come up with such a fantastic image. Who wouldn't swoon over this guy serenading them? I mean, seriously!

I am working feverishly trying to get some birthday cards made. I need to stock up. Birthdays are coming & going way too fast for me. LOL

I am also doing the big "purge." That's right, cleaning out the ole stamp room & getting rid of "stuff." Stamps, paper, punches, you name it. It's all going on Craigslist this weekend. Will provide a link to my listing if anyone is interested.

Question for you all...I primarily use my Copics for coloring. I am thinking of getting rid of my regular markers & pigment pads with the exception of a few colors. What do you think? Think I will regret getting rid of them? I never use them anymore. I would rather invest in the Copic refills than replacing my old markers. Decisions, decisions. I am going to sleep on it tonight. Let me know what you think though.

Okie dokie, I am outta here. See y'all later!

I've had this card running through my head for a couple of weeks now & just got around to making it. I still think I could do more with it but, then again,  I like how simple it turned out. Since I didn't have the perfect stamp for my saying, I had to print it from my computer. It's unfortunate that there isn't a stamp company out there that has my same wicked humor. LOL

I need to get moving, I am making salmon for dinner tonight & need to get that started. The pups are chomping at the bit for their dinner too.

See you later!

I was learning how to color over the past 2 days...

I know, silly, huh? People who are not crafters, card makers, etc they really don't get it. They say "oh, how nice" like I am out of mind or something. And my family? I think my family gets it but I am not sure. They only care about whether or not they are going to get their card. LOL

So yes, I spent the last 2 days with my friend Dana, learning how to color with my Copic Markers. What a friggin' blast! I really feel like I learned A LOT! The only thing I had a hard time grasping was faces. Don't worry though, I signed up for another class in April to tackle that! (Seriously hope my girl Dana can make that class too!)

I also learned a lot about myself...

1. I don't like airbrushing. Absolutely no appeal to me. Don't get me wrong, people who do it are amazing and their art is AMAZING, me? Just don't like the feel of it, I don't like the results "I" get. Nothing wrong with that. Just one less thing I have to buy. (My husband will like that!)

2. I am very critical of my work. I am definitely my hardest critic. Things I thought looked bad..other people liked. Maybe they were lying but they had me fooled. LOL

3. I want to get everything right the FIRST TIME. Totally unrealistic. I get that. Like Sherrie said "practice makes perfect. It's okay to make mistakes." I have a hard time with that. I learn something and I want to get it right the first time. Me in a nut shell. I need to let go and be okay with the mistakes. Learn from them. This is going to be a hard one but I am willing to try.

4. RANDOM: Copic markers are DA BOMB!!! Sherrie Siemans is DA BOMB!! I had a great time with her. Just wish there could have been a little more "one on one" time but we all have to share. :)

5. I still have a lot of growing to do. I am at the beginning of my creative journey and I am looking forward to what lies ahead.

Okay, let me show you a crap card and over the next day or two, I am going to work some of my "new" magic on it & see if I can't make it better... A LOT BETTER! LOL

Amuseamore

See, not so great but I am not worried. I am going to do a "card overhaul" and make this into something special. Hang with me, okay?

Alright, I am off to see the Wizard. Have a SUPER day!

Thanks for stopping by!

So how'd ya like them Apples? All them apples? Another one of my favorite sayings from Rosie's Roadshow. I have so many, I have lost count. :)

UGH...my stomach is feeling yucky, I think I am going to wrap this up & hit the sack early tonight. Sorry for the short post. Hopefully I will make up for it over the next couple of days.

don't settle, GO BIG!!! As in HUGE!!!

When I was digging through my paper & saw this DP from K & Company I knew I had to pull out this sweet stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas. Alma really scored big when she snagged this designer, Zlatoena. She has some seriously cute digital images. Have you been to her Etsy shop? You should check it out HERE. I can only hope that Alma makes all of her stamps into sets!! :)

I think that's all I have tonight. I am trying to finish up on a couple of chores & then hit the sack at a decent hour. Hope you all have a swell night!

A future valentine for someone. LOL

This was in a stack of cards I have sitting on my desk that I still need to share. I admit, I'm not doing a very good job of posting to my blog. I don't know what my deal is...it's like I'm hot & cold. Much like this new adventure in menopause. Yep, not enjoying that too much. The ups & down are kinda crazy. As in, making me a little crazy. LOL

Random note...my poor little Gracie is in heat right now. She is whiny & super clingy. I am not sure what to do with her other than keep her under lock & key until this is over. Once it is...off to the Vet to get fixed. I have been avoiding this like the plague. Just thinking about having her fixed makes me think of Little & all that we went through. Not that that will happen again but the thought of it hangs in the back of my mind. Sigh...

Alright, enough about menopause & dogs being in heat...it's time to change the laundry. Have a great night!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cream in my coffee?

Of course. You?

Amusetheperfectblend

This is the card I made for the November Challenge Chicks sketch challenge. I didn't get around to making it until a couple of weeks ago though. Forever late, that's me. LOL

So today I had big plans of stamping & didn't get around to it. WHAN! I cleaned the beast (the house) and was busy with laundry & cooking. Get this, I made my FIRST low carb cheesecake and it was GOOD! Yummm-o!

Oh my, guess what? I don't want to be rude but... I gotta go. My show, The Walking Dead, starts in 15 minutes and I need to get the sheets on my bed. HURRY!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
