Happy Birthday Donut Style

Who doesn't love donuts? With sprinkles, without. With chocolate, without. It doesn't matter what flavor, shape or size, they are all delicious, aren't they? LOL

I made this card using my set "Sprinkle with Love" from a-muse studio. The fun background paper is from Michaels. Not sure if you can see it or not but the sprinkles & stripes on the donuts are sparkly. I colored them with my Wink Of Stella brush.

Enjoy & thanks for stopping by!

Sometimes just saying DUDE says it all. I desperately need some guy birthday cards. Was this easy or what? I let the DP do all the work for me.

Shoot, I even did a little embossing. Hard to believe I remember how to do that! LOLOLOL

I honestly think this card took me less than 10 minutes to make. What took so long was "finding" my embossing gun & clear embossing powder. C'mon, don't tell me you don't know what that is like. I know you are a hoarder just like me  & have to search through drawers to find "stuff." LOL

Okay, I am going to sneak off & finish a challenge card that I have half way finished. I will see you all later!

Card overhaul complete...

I am liking this version sooooo much better than the first one I made.

The "after" version looks more balanced. I look at the "before" card & wonder what the heck I was thinking??? I can't even believe I thought that was an acceptable card. BLAH!!! Definitely happier with the new version.

I am bummed. My stay-cation is coming to an end. BOOO!!!! The pups aren't happy either. They love hanging out with us all day, see...

Who wouldn't want these 3 as stamping companions?? Only thing bad about them when they are like this...trying not to trip over them. LOL

Well folks, I need to clean the house & then I am going to get back to stamping. I still have a TON of cards I want to make before this vacay is over. Wants, needs...maybe I should just take care of my wants??? Mmmm, maybe...

See you all later!

I was learning how to color over the past 2 days...

I know, silly, huh? People who are not crafters, card makers, etc they really don't get it. They say "oh, how nice" like I am out of mind or something. And my family? I think my family gets it but I am not sure. They only care about whether or not they are going to get their card. LOL

So yes, I spent the last 2 days with my friend Dana, learning how to color with my Copic Markers. What a friggin' blast! I really feel like I learned A LOT! The only thing I had a hard time grasping was faces. Don't worry though, I signed up for another class in April to tackle that! (Seriously hope my girl Dana can make that class too!)

I also learned a lot about myself...

1. I don't like airbrushing. Absolutely no appeal to me. Don't get me wrong, people who do it are amazing and their art is AMAZING, me? Just don't like the feel of it, I don't like the results "I" get. Nothing wrong with that. Just one less thing I have to buy. (My husband will like that!)

2. I am very critical of my work. I am definitely my hardest critic. Things I thought looked bad..other people liked. Maybe they were lying but they had me fooled. LOL

3. I want to get everything right the FIRST TIME. Totally unrealistic. I get that. Like Sherrie said "practice makes perfect. It's okay to make mistakes." I have a hard time with that. I learn something and I want to get it right the first time. Me in a nut shell. I need to let go and be okay with the mistakes. Learn from them. This is going to be a hard one but I am willing to try.

4. RANDOM: Copic markers are DA BOMB!!! Sherrie Siemans is DA BOMB!! I had a great time with her. Just wish there could have been a little more "one on one" time but we all have to share. :)

5. I still have a lot of growing to do. I am at the beginning of my creative journey and I am looking forward to what lies ahead.

Okay, let me show you a crap card and over the next day or two, I am going to work some of my "new" magic on it & see if I can't make it better... A LOT BETTER! LOL

See, not so great but I am not worried. I am going to do a "card overhaul" and make this into something special. Hang with me, okay?

Alright, I am off to see the Wizard. Have a SUPER day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Truly, Madly, Deeply

A future valentine for someone. LOL

This was in a stack of cards I have sitting on my desk that I still need to share. I admit, I'm not doing a very good job of posting to my blog. I don't know what my deal's like I'm hot & cold. Much like this new adventure in menopause. Yep, not enjoying that too much. The ups & down are kinda crazy. As in, making me a little crazy. LOL

Random poor little Gracie is in heat right now. She is whiny & super clingy. I am not sure what to do with her other than keep her under lock & key until this is over. Once it to the Vet to get fixed. I have been avoiding this like the plague. Just thinking about having her fixed makes me think of Little & all that we went through. Not that that will happen again but the thought of it hangs in the back of my mind. Sigh...

Alright, enough about menopause & dogs being in's time to change the laundry. Have a great night!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cream in my coffee?

Of course. You?

This is the card I made for the November Challenge Chicks sketch challenge. I didn't get around to making it until a couple of weeks ago though. Forever late, that's me. LOL

So today I had big plans of stamping & didn't get around to it. WHAN! I cleaned the beast (the house) and was busy with laundry & cooking. Get this, I made my FIRST low carb cheesecake and it was GOOD! Yummm-o!

Oh my, guess what? I don't want to be rude but... I gotta go. My show, The Walking Dead, starts in 15 minutes and I need to get the sheets on my bed. HURRY!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bringing Sexy, oops, I mean Simple, back...LOL

I don't know how much more simple this card could be. I had some K & Company paper scraps leftover from a few cards I made & whipped this one up. I really miss vintage a|muse stamps. Not that the new stamps aren't nice but the old ones? Loved them. A lot.

Robert & I decided we were going to get all our chores done today & then have a lazy day tomorrow. Well, we just started our 3rd movie & we are still in our pajamas, what does that say? Ummm...LAZY. But it's not just us..nope...Molly is in her chair snoring, Bailey is taking up the other half of the couch with her legs crossed & passed out cold, Libby is curled in a ball on her dog bed & Gracie? Well, a picture is a thousand words, isn't it?

Photo on 2-8-14 at 12.14 PM

I know the picture isn't the best but I didn't have my camera handy & had to take this using Photo booth on my laptop.

As you can see, she is as modest as ever. LOL Funny little dog.

I guess I better get back to being lazy, hope you have a great Saturday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Super bowl or stamping? uhhhh...

I might have to stamp and check on the game here & there or...not at all. LOL Besides there are a couple of challenges I want to participate in today.

Speaking of challenges, I was catching up on a few of them last weekend. I love the Challenge Chicks challenges they post on Facebook. Somehow I missed the December challenge which was "shed the winter layers."

Can I just say that making a no layer card is CHALLENGING! Seriously.

So here is the first one...

I ended up making a mistake on the card so had to cover the mistake with a flower & the saying. BUMMER. (I actually like how the card turned out though.)

Okay, so then I made this one...

It's okay, definitely not one of my faves. Oh well, they can't all be winners, can they? LOL I don't think I will be adding this one to the Challenge Chicks facebook page. I'll just hide them here for all of you to see.  :)

I think that's a wrap. Have a SUPER Sunday & may the best team win today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Foxy!!

What's shakin? That plaid is Hot, HoT, HOT!!

This fun set from a|muse studio has MATCHING dies!! Did I remember to use those dies when I was tidiously cutting out that fox? NOOOOOOOO!!! What a dork! It wasn't until I was rounding the last leg that the light bulb went off. LOL

Side note...

29 more days. 29 more days until Gracie gets here. 29 more days until my parents are here. 29 more days till VACATION!!! O..M..GEEEEEEEE! I am beyond excited.

But until then, the next thing I am looking forward to is...sleeping in tomorrow! Whoop, Whoop!

It's that time again. Time for me to get some coffee & head out the door.

Have a FUN Friday!!
