Challenge Chicks

Challenge Chicks: Halloween in July

I dusted off my stamps this weekend & got busy!

Started my warm up with my friend Dana yesterday to get my MOJO flowing again and then did a little more stamping today. Wouldn't you know it, today is the first Sunday of the month, know what that means? A new Challenge Chicks stamp challenge...just what I needed!!

Since I already had my Rosie's Roadshow stamps out, I went crazy & whipped something up.

Can't go wrong with Rosie's!! :)

On a side note... this one hasn't left my side today...

We had to take the poor thing to the ER Vet on the 4th. The little rascal found some bones & ate them!! We have no idea where she found them. Anywho, she had me up at 2am on Friday and I could definitely tell something was wrong. She was restless, crying/whining, stretching, vomitting and in obvious pain. I was at a loss at what to do for her, so after a couple of hours we decided to take her in.

Too much $$$ and a follow up visit later... she is back to normal (other than she wants to be close to her mommy). She has been my personal posse for the past couple of days. LOL

I am just thankful she is okay!! Whew!

Thanks for stopping by, I have missed you!

Of course. You?

This is the card I made for the November Challenge Chicks sketch challenge. I didn't get around to making it until a couple of weeks ago though. Forever late, that's me. LOL

So today I had big plans of stamping & didn't get around to it. WHAN! I cleaned the beast (the house) and was busy with laundry & cooking. Get this, I made my FIRST low carb cheesecake and it was GOOD! Yummm-o!

Oh my, guess what? I don't want to be rude but... I gotta go. My show, The Walking Dead, starts in 15 minutes and I need to get the sheets on my bed. HURRY!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Especially for these two...

I absolutely HAD to participate in

03201challenge chicks

challenge over on Facebook. This month it is Valentines with a furry twist. Yep, get out those animal stamps & get started with your very own love fest. You know you want to, stop trying to deny it.

I am will participating more than once this month. You can count on it. I am going to dust off some oldie but goodie animal stamps & put them to work. I challenge you to do the same!

Speaking of know this little cutie...

she went on her first walk today and was absolutely AMAZING!! She didn't pull on the leash & she kept up with me. That says a lot considering how fast I walk! Poor little thing is plum tuckered right now. LOL

I... am... so...proud of her...sniff, sniff... LOL

And that is where I get off. Time to hit the sack. I have to do a little bed time reading on "how to get your dog to stop barking." Yes, that sweet little Gracie is a barker & a loud one at that!!! But...I love her anyway!

Thanks for stopping by!

Super bowl or stamping? uhhhh...

I might have to stamp and check on the game here & there or...not at all. LOL Besides there are a couple of challenges I want to participate in today.

Speaking of challenges, I was catching up on a few of them last weekend. I love the Challenge Chicks challenges they post on Facebook. Somehow I missed the December challenge which was "shed the winter layers."

Can I just say that making a no layer card is CHALLENGING! Seriously.

So here is the first one...

I ended up making a mistake on the card so had to cover the mistake with a flower & the saying. BUMMER. (I actually like how the card turned out though.)

Okay, so then I made this one...

It's okay, definitely not one of my faves. Oh well, they can't all be winners, can they? LOL I don't think I will be adding this one to the Challenge Chicks facebook page. I'll just hide them here for all of you to see.  :)

I think that's a wrap. Have a SUPER Sunday & may the best team win today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Anna Wight is still in the mood for winter (even though she was crying a bit over how chilly is was in TX today, LOL) anywho, her challenge was to make a "winter" card. Tah-dah!!!!

I even made a SHAKER card! How do you like them apples?? BOO-YAH!!! LOLOL I am surprised I remembered how. I guess it's like riding a bike, huh? Okay, maybe not.

Alright, I have to finish editing a couple more cards. Will be sharing those this week along with some other fun stuff I have been up to.

Hope you all have a SUPER evening!

Challenge Chicks: Halloween with a Twist!

I said I would make time for the Challenge Chicks challenge today and that is EXACTLY what I did!! (I have to admit that I had a crafty weekend this weekend. Woohoo!!!)

So here is my card for this months challenge (halloween card with no green, orange or purple)...

I used the uber cute Happy Haunting set from a|muse studio. Here is a pic of the entire set:

It even has dies to match the ghosts!! EEK! So fun!

I love how simple & fun this card turned out. You could make a stack of them in no time. Easy peasy!!

Anywho, thanks for stopping by!

It's been awhile since I played with my favorite stamp from Rosie's Roadshow. I took one look at it the other day & knew I had to make a card. Of course, every time I make a card with this stamp I crack myself up. It's like I am my own comedy show. LOL

Anywho, I hope this card brings a smile to your face today.

Enjoy! And thanks for stopping by!

August challenge cards? Sure, I got em'!

See... I wasn't kidding. I had these babies made the beginning of August. I am pretty sure my clock & calendar broke & that's why I missed posting them in August. Yah, that's what happened!! LOL

I had duplicates of the same image already made but didn't want to make the same card. I ended up using some of the same paper but the two cards look completely different. I like that.

I have one more flower card to post tomorrow and then things start turning toward the toilet. Not going to go into any details, you will just have to wait & see. LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

I am a month behind...

on my Challenge Chicks cards. Last month (August) was flowers. I actually made 3 cards for the challenge (last month no less) but didn't get them posted in time. BOO!

Then this month comes along and I had to start on the new challenge. What's the new challenge you ask? Make a card with die cuts. WHO DOESN'T USE DIE CUTS??? Seriously? I am ALL OVER THAT! So here is my September challenge card...

Kinda plain, kinda western, kinda fun. I like it. I had fun making it too. Used some supplies that I forgot I had. Woot, woot!

I'll post my August cards over the next couple of days. Make sure to stop by & check them out, okay?
