It was a technique challenge (watercoloring) this week over at The Cat's Pajamas...one of my FAVORITE techniques! Wanna know why? Cause it is OKAY to be SPLOPPY!! LOL
Here is my card for this weeks challenge...
So I had a few "firsts" with this card...it was my first time using seam binding...LOVE IT! It was my first time making a flower out of ribbon...LOVE IT!! (And, uh, hello, could it get any easier??? Why are we paying tons of money to buy our embellishments? Seriously people! UGH!) And last, it was my first time watercoloring on Crate Paper DP. I found it a little challenging, as I was not able to control my color as much as I would have liked. You are probably thinking, "why would you want to control it? YOU ARE WATERCOLORING!! And WATERCOLORING = SLOPPY!" I know, I know but there is that control freak side of me that likes to stay within the lines on certain things...even when watercoloring. LOL
Card Deets:
- Stamps: All from The Cat's Pajamas
- Paper: Crate Paper, Peach Parfait & Baja Breeze
- Inks: Black Versafine, re-inkers & waterbrush
- Misc: Seam Binding & Button from The Cat's Pajamas, Nesties
Well, there you have it. I hope you enjoy it!!
Toodles!
I love love love your rabbit!! His giant ears are oh so darling!! I think you did a great job water coloring! It is one of my least favorite things to do, because I don't think I am very good at it!!
