I made birthday cards on time this year...

I just didn't send them out. Dang it anyway. LOL

Here's my sisters birthday card. I actually made this while she & I were having a virtual craft date (FUN!!!!!).

I haven't played with my Odd Bird Planet stamps in 4-EVER!!! They are just sitting there collecting dust. No bueno.

It's really too bad Johanna closed up her shop. I loved these stamps. Do you know...I even had someone email last month asking about one of those adorable gnome stamps?!?! It's a shame, really. 

Random squirrel here...that little dog of mine, Gracie? She is ALL kinds of trouble! She thinks she runs this place. THE NERVE! She jumps up to scour the counters, tries to steal the other dogs food, makes poor Molly share her side of the couch...see what I mean...

Don't you feel sorry for Molly? I do. Poor baby. 

All right, I guess I better get going. I want to get some reading in before I hit the sack. Plus I need to think about what happened on Blacklist last night (LOVE THAT SHOW!). So many things...so little time...LOL

I am starting to feel old. When did this "kid" start growing up? Wasn't it just yesterday that my Sis popped him out? Sheesh! Time really flies!

To celebrate my nephews birthday today, I made him this card...

It's bright & wild just like he is! Now, if I can just get it in the mail, THAT would be even better!!

It kills me that I made the card on time but failed to get it to the post office. Who does that? What a BAD Auntie! UGH! LOLOLOL

When is forever no longer forever?

Seriously, what the heck? The post office tells you, if you buy forever stamps, you can use them forever right? So why the heck do I need to add a 1 cent stamp to my card below?

It's just wrong. Just wrong I tell you! And, that's all I am going to say about that. Okay, I take that back, I have one more thing to say...POST OFFICE, you made my nieces birthday card LATE and it is ALL...YOUR...FAULT and that my friends...pisses me off. Nuff said. HUMPH!

A different kind of Halloween card...

Here is another one of the cards I made for the OBP DT tryout in Round 2... 

We had to use the stamps in a way that was unexpected. I choose to use the plain perch as a background stamp. Once again I used some of those luscious new SU! colors plus a few of my faves ie: Eggplant Envy, Pumpkin Pie, etc. And how bout that yummy ribbon from Cosmo Cricket? LOVE IT!!

Anywho, I am off to do some stamping. I have a BUNCH of projects I need to get done for TCP. What was that? What kind of projects? Oh silly you, you know I can't tell you. heehee Guess you are just going to have to WAIT until the new release comes out, eh??? LOL TRUST ME, you are going to LOVE the new sets!!

Long time no post!

So many things going on lately that it's a good thing I took a little break from the ole blog. WHEW!! Here is hoping that things get back on track ASAP! LOL 

Okay, so tell me...what have you all been up to? I am dying to know! I have missed you oh so MUCH! 

I better fill you in on what has been going on with me and then we will get onto happier things...I had a pretty rough week not this past week, but the week before. After 16 wonderful years together I had to say goodbye to my sweet biddy, Callie. She got very sick and my only choice was to put her down. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. You see, I don't have any children so when these things happen to my pets, it COMPLETELY tears me up inside. And when you have a pet for 16 years...well, you know EXACTLY how hard I took it. Sigh...

To top it all off, my closest friend from work decided that leaving the company was the best thing for her. It wasn't the best thing for me, but I know why she decided to leave and I fully support her decision 100%. It still doesn't make it any easier to go into work knowing that she isn't there. This was the same week I lost my little Callie, do you see where this is going? 

So by Thursday of that week I was pretty exhausted, mentally and emotionally. So tired... that as I was driving home in bumper to bumper traffic, I nodded off and rear ended the car in front of me. Shhhhh, everyone is okay. I am okay. My car is NOT okay but she is getting fixed, YEAH! 

Then we get to this week, right? What is it about companies laying people off during the holidays? During the "happiest time of year?" I think it is crap. I don't care that you want to do it before it hits your books, I don't care that it is the end of the fiscal year, PEOPLE, get your heads out of your BUTT! My work decided that we needed a lay some people off, it happens EVERY year during this time. I was VERY fortunate that it wasn't me but my heart goes out to the people it DID happen to. I am at a loss of words for them...BIG sigh...

So what good things DID happen during my absence? Well, let's see...

I received word that my car was going to be able to be fixed rather than having to go buy a new car. YEAH!!! As much as I would LOVE a new car... I sooooooo DID NOT want a car payment. BOOOOOO to car payments, YEAH to sweet baby RAV who is getting a new front end! WOOHOO!!!

Ummm, let's see what else...well, for my Happy Birthday my husband hired the PERFECT CLOSET to remodel our office. Yep, gone are the mismatched pieces of furniture and instead I now have a built in wrap-a-round desk with cabinets on the wall and a new and improved closet. WOOT! WOOT! Hello organization! I will take pictures once I get everything put back in it's place. 

I tried out for the OBP DT. Made it to Round 2. VERY excited about that! In fact, here is one of the cards I made for Round 2...

I used the new SU! colors to make this card. That Kiwi Kiss really gets me. As does the Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze...darm them! Darn them for coming up with such luscious colors! LOL 

And how friggin' fun are those stamps? C'mon people, you know what I am talking about! LOL And did you see the sneak peek of the new gnomes on Johanna's blog? Crikey. I have SUCKER written all over my forehead. YIKES! 

Alrighty then, I guess I better go. I have a TON of stuff to get done. I will be thankful when this month is over. And to think I was so excited about Halloween this year. URGH!!! There is still time to get excited though, huh? :)

Ahhhh, Saturday!!! YEAH!!

So thankful it is the weekend and a three day weekend at that! I need some down time... in a BIG WAY!! LOL

Today I have big plans for stamping, stamping and even MORE stamping. I can't wait. I even told hubby that if he would let me stamp all day today that I would gladly clean the house by myself tomorrow. Then... on Monday? I am off to do some more stamping cause hubby has to work. Boo to work. Yeah for me! LOL

OH MY GOSH!! I didn't tell you...last night...I went and got a PEDICURE!! Can I just tell you how incredibly nice that was???? I wear Birks 24/7, 365 days a year so my feet are in pretty bad shape but now? Hello beautiful(s)!!! LOL They are so pretty and sooooo SMOOOOOTH! Love that! I told hubby that I was going to start doing this once a month. You know, just a little "me" thing. He was totally supportive of that. I love that. I love him. He makes my heart melt. Sigh...

Okay, so enough about me... How about a little eye candy? I thought you might say yes. heehee

I made this cute card using my Miss O and Edgar owl stamps. I still can't believe Johanna made my drawings into owls. I sooooo LOVE THEM!! I keep trying to tell my hubby what a big deal it is. He just looks at me and smiles. Cracks me up. LOL

Hey, have you noticed that I have been practicing my water coloring skills? Still not up to Anna but darnit, I am trying! LOL That Anna girl has MAD coloring skills. Someday, I want to be just like her. She truly inspires me to try harder. I love that, love her. Big HUGS to Anna!!

Alrighty then, I am going to go get some laundry started so that I can multi task while stamping today. Love that. Hate wasted time. I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Saturday! See you all tomorrow!

Got up this morning and I was INSPIRED! Hubby made me some coffee (thanks BABE!!) and away I went to the stamp room/office. Don't you love Saturday mornings like that? I do...sigh... :)

Anywho, today is the final episode of "Gnome Down" with Linda aka LSN. I have been having such a BLAST with these little guys from Odd Bird Planet. Must get more...yes, definitely must get more!! LOL In fact, I think I will head there right after I finish this post. Need to get the rest of the guys you know. :)

So here is my third card for our challenge, I went simple...

Love those little birds. If I would have thought a little more about the card before throwing it together I would have stamped him more to the left and then added a bird to the tree stump. Hmm, maybe I will have to remake this card tonight and do just that. Yeah, definitely. First I have to get some cleaning done, a little shopping and a few files completed for work. Sounds like a full day, huh? I know. Guess I will be burning the midnight oil tonight! LOL

Okay, so I have to tell you, I am freaking out just a little. I just finished my card and now I am posting, right? Right. Well, I thought, oh, I'll go ahead and take a sneak peek at Linda's card to see what stamps she used and blah, blah, blah, right? Uh huh. So... I get to her blog and start laughing!!! She was totally on the same wave length as ME!! WHAT THE (beeep!)??? NO WAY! How did she know I was going to get all glittery and snowy and stuff? Like I said, I am freaking out a little. Maybe she is my long lost sister and we were separated at birth or something? I don't know, you tell me...
