I made birthday cards on time this year...

I just didn't send them out. Dang it anyway. LOL

Here's my sisters birthday card. I actually made this while she & I were having a virtual craft date (FUN!!!!!).

I haven't played with my Odd Bird Planet stamps in 4-EVER!!! They are just sitting there collecting dust. No bueno.

It's really too bad Johanna closed up her shop. I loved these stamps. Do you know...I even had someone email last month asking about one of those adorable gnome stamps?!?! It's a shame, really. 

Random squirrel here...that little dog of mine, Gracie? She is ALL kinds of trouble! She thinks she runs this place. THE NERVE! She jumps up to scour the counters, tries to steal the other dogs food, makes poor Molly share her side of the couch...see what I mean...

Don't you feel sorry for Molly? I do. Poor baby. 

All right, I guess I better get going. I want to get some reading in before I hit the sack. Plus I need to think about what happened on Blacklist last night (LOVE THAT SHOW!). So many things...so little time...LOL

Scraps from the other day...

It's basically the same card that I made for the TCP Tuesday color challenge with a few minor changes.

The base card is a bit longer and the espresso background runs the width of the card. I moved the focal point to the right and used a different button. In addition, I used one of my own images, Bubba, that I designed for Odd Bird Planet. Isn't he the sweetest? My heart is swooning right now...

My lonely little owl...

She has been so neglected. ALL of my owls that I drew for Odd Bird Planet have been neglected. That's what happens when, well, how do I say this? YOU FALL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!! Yes, basically, I withdrew from the stamping world and hid in my little hole until I couldn't stand it anymore. What can I say? I'm a girl, I'm hormonal, I do things that don't make sense to anyone and then, then I wake up one day and things are right with the world again.

I mean hey, look at me, I've been stamping like crazy. I've been blogging. I've been smiling. I've even started participating in challenges! Who knew? LOL

So back to my lonely little owl...

I had some scrap paper sitting on my desk, a thank you stamp and then BAM! There she was, all sparkly & stuff, see...

I am starting to feel old. When did this "kid" start growing up? Wasn't it just yesterday that my Sis popped him out? Sheesh! Time really flies!

To celebrate my nephews birthday today, I made him this card...

It's bright & wild just like he is! Now, if I can just get it in the mail, THAT would be even better!!

I actually made a Father's Day card yesterday and plan to finish up my second one tonight. I may even get them in the mail on time this year. YEAH! My next cards will be belated Mother's Day cards since I was so wrapped up in work last month (and every day for the past 2+ years...UGH!) that I missed making them. Bad daughter, I know. But won't that be a Berry Nice surprise for them??

Day 2 of my Christmas Countdown...

I am so happy to be posting. I think this is my 4th day in a row. So, so, HAPPY!!!! YEAH! Not sure you noticed or not but I am doing a little countdown to Christmas. My goal is to share a Christmas card each day until Christmas. Think it can be done? I think so. I am certainly going to give it my best shot!! heehee

So here is my card for today...

 

I inked up my oh so fabulous Odd Bird Planet stamps for this card. LOVE THESE STAMPS!! I think all of the gnomes are fit for Christmas, don't you? How many gnomes from OBP do you have? I have too many to count. YIKES!

That yummy background paper is from K & Company. You should see the rest of the paper in the pack...LUSCIOUS! It's so bright and FUN!

Why does my MOJO leave at all the wrong times?

Someone please tell me. Why? Why does this happen? I am dying to stamp, can't stop thinking about it...I sit in front of my stamp desk and then...NOTHING. Nothing. nothing. I don't understand. You know what I am thinking about? Taking a nap. Seriously...WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?? UGH!

So why am I posting to the ole blog? Well, I have one last card to share that I stamped a couple of weekends ago...

 

I just have to say, this is one of my most favorite cards I have made in awhile. I almost didn't want to give it away. But alas, my very sweet & good friend Dana was the recipient, so I willingly gave it to her but only AFTER I made myself a copy of it. LOL All stamps are from Odd Bird Planet. The paper is from Basic Grey. 

Alright, I am off to change the laundry and then maybe I will come back in here and stare at my stamp desk a little more.

Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is on it's way...

Are you ready for it? Is your bumm ready to expand with all the eating you are about to do? Don't give me that look, you know what I am talking about. It happens to all of us. We mean well, but in the end, who can resist all the candy, desserts and good food that is cooked over the holidays?  Seriously! LOL

So I survived October, barely. It was insane, crazy, FRUSTRATING, tiring, you name it, it was all of that! But alas, here I am. Ready to start another month. Keeping positive thoughts. Looking forward to seeing, no, wait, I AM MEETING, Ree Drummond aka Pioneer Woman, on November 5th!! I have a stamp date planned with my friend Dana on the 14th. I also have a girls day planned on the 21st to go see NEW MOON with a bunch of girls from work and then there is Thanksgiving. Such a busy month and I am sure that is not all that will be going on. You know why? Cause Christmas is next month and I need to get my Christmas cards made ON TIME this year. Plus, I have several home-made gifts I am wanting to make so I really need to step it up. I just pray that I am able to get everything done in a timely fashion this year. No late presents or cards for the rest of the year...I hope! LOL

But enough about that, how about a card?

 

I made this card using the Limited Edition Penguin set from Odd Bird Planet. This set sold out in record time last year. I feel so lucky that I was able to get it. The penguins are to die for in it. You just can't mess around when Johanna puts these sets up for sale. No joke! LOL The background paper is a couple of years old. Love that color combination...yummy!

Alright, well, Molly is licking my arm. I think she needs me to give her some love. Hope you all have a restful Sunday full of good football! I know I have laundry and a dirty house waiting for me. LOL
